A Sustainable Cycle of Empowerment

Launched in 2023 at Mtambo 2 in Traditional Authority Kabudula, Lilongwe, the Goat Farming Project is a cornerstone of our commitment to food security and economic independence. With generous funding from Mudzi Connect, we have transformed a simple livestock distribution into a thriving community-driven engine for growth.

A Sustainable “Pass-On” Model

At the heart of this project is the innovative pass-on approach. We established two dedicated goat houses and provided an initial set of goats to local beneficiaries. When these goats produce offspring, the young goats are “passed on” to new households in the community. This creates a continuous cycle of empowerment, allowing the project’s benefits to reach more families every year while enabling existing beneficiaries to maintain their own productive herds.
