Today Zayane Creations Trust is thrilled to share a significant milestone with you! Zayane Creations Trust has marked a major achievement with the handover of the first mushroom farming house to Namdzuluwa village, TA Kabudula in Lilongwe District.
This achievement, funded by NAMA (National Association of Media Accredited Women), is a testament to the power of partnership in driving sustainable change.

First meeting with Nthanda mushroom women
The project has garnered enthusiastic participation from local residents, with comprehensive training sessions underway on strategies for effective collaboration and living in a group, as well as cultivation, harvesting, and marketing, targeting the women already identified for participation in mushroom production.

Training and mentorship sessions
As the initiative progresses, modern kitchens are also being constructed to support the mushroom farming activities.

We’re also building modern kitchens in different villages to support the project.

With a three-year plan spanning three phases, the project aims to build 15 houses in each phase, totaling 45 mushroom farming houses across different village group headmen. This is expected to benefit approximately 300 women per phase, translating to around 1,800 lives impacted per year.
The project’s impact is anticipated to be multifaceted, contributing to improved livelihoods, strengthened community bonds, and enhanced food security.
